Pacific Rim Investment Management, Inc. (PRIM) has been involved in Vietnam’s energy and infrastructure sector since 1995 when it established Vietnam’s first 100% privately owned environmental consulting firm. We have worked with numerous Ministries and State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) in financing, design, construction, and operation of over 30 major infrastructure projects. 

 

PRIM has founded two seminal working groups to address energy challenges in Vietnam. PRIM President and Vice Chairman of NordCham in HCMC, along with other Nordic energy companies, facilitated the first-ever Power and Energy Working Group. PRIM President was asked to take the Head of the Working Group at its creation by members and has served as its Head since 2011. Under his leadership, in 2016, the Working Group published the report titled "Made in Vietnam Energy Plan", encouraging the use of more renewable energy and greater energy efficiency in response to Vietnam’s amended Power Development Plan 7. In 2016 PRIM founded the AmCham Energy Committee, which he Co-Chairs with GE.  In addition, PRIM currently chairs a working on Offshore Wind Energy PPAs and project bankability.
